Job Description:

The Photographer and/or videographer is responsible for capturing original content for Hawaii Adventure Portraits and their clients by using vision, storytelling, and creativity while forging a safe and comfortable environment for individuals, couples, families, and small groups in approved locations.

Our Locations:

  • Hawai’i (The Big Island)

  • O’ahu

  • Maui

  • Lāna’i

  • Moloka’i

  • Kaua’i

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Recommends new and exciting session locations.

  • Has reliable transportation to work directly with our clients.

  • Personalizes photography experiences using props, and artistic specialties.

  • Creates content that encompass exploration, connection, and adventure.

  • Intentionally captures content that is trending for social media growth.

  • Designs marketing graphics using Canva for our team to implement.

Personal and Professional Skills:

  • Attention to Detail: posing direction, anticipation, cemetery, depth of field, color theory, and storytelling.

  • Artistic Knowledge: long exposure, underwater, professional lighting, and/or drone capabilities.

  • Self Sufficient: takes initiative, has a β€œcan do” mentality, and is a team player.

  • Communication and Efficiency: meets all deadlines, takes critique well, and goes above and beyond.

  • Core Traits: confidant, outgoing, and an overall happy individual that can keep up with high-energy environments and subjects.
